In a newly released interview from 2022, Kanye West shared a host of controversial and unexpected statements, touching on his recent controversies and personal aspirations.

Filmed shortly after his antisemitic remarks led to the loss of major sponsorships, the conversation with conservative commentator Candace Owens reveals West’s thoughts on his public image and personal branding.

Among his revelations, West expressed a desire to legally change his name to “Christian Billionaire Ye.”

“My name is Ye. I take it like you’re calling Caitlyn [Jenner] ‘Bruce.’ My name is Ye. Also, refer to me as ‘Billionaire.’ Christian Billionaire Ye,” he declared.

He further mentioned, “Matter of fact, I may legally change my name to ‘Christian Billionaire Ye,’ so you’re forced to call me it.”

This name change proposal stands out as one of his more peculiar ideas, reflecting his unconventional approach to self-presentation.

During the interview, West also addressed his recent controversies, including his “White Lives Matter” marketing and his strained relationships with fellow artists Drake and Jay-Z.

He praised Drake as the greatest of all time by sales and acknowledged Jay-Z as the greatest inspiration in the industry.

West, known for his volatile public persona and shifting alliances, had a friendly rapport with Owens during the interview.

Owens, who had attended the fashion show where West unveiled the “White Lives Matter” shirts, had reportedly been holding the interview for the right moment to release it.

Recently, West’s musical endeavors, including his album “Vultures 2,” have been met with critical disappointment, contrasting sharply with his ambitious and often contentious public statements.
