KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Thursday announced Ramzan package worth Rs22bn aimed at providing relief to the people of the province.

Enveiling the Sindh Ramzan package while chairing a meeting on price control in Karachi this morning, he also accorded approval of providing an amount of Rs 5000 cash to the 60 percent population of the province with minimum wage.

The cash amount will be provided to 3.5 million households with a minimum wage of Rs 32,000 per month.

Addressing the meeting the Chief Minister directed a crackdown against hoarders and profiteers in the province.

Ramzan aid initiative rolled out across Punjab

Syed Murad Ali Shah directed district administration to ensure implementation of government fixed rates of commodities of daily use.

Murad Ali Shah also directed that there should be no load shedding during Sehr and Iftar throughout the province.

“K-Electric, Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) and Sukkur Electric Supply Company (SEPCO) should maintain the electricity system in their respective areas during Ramadan,” he said.
