TCCL Illuminates Future Path with Solar Networking Advancement

Karachi (05 March 5, 2024) In a significant development, Thatta Cement Co., Limited (TCCL) has achieved a major milestone in its renewable energy endeavors. Under the guidance of its dedicated teams, TCCL successfully installed and energized a 3300 KW solar plant. This impressive feat, comprising 58 solar inverters, 7168 solar panels, and an extensive network of AC/DC cables spanning approximately 41,000 meters, underscores TCCL’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions.

The entire project, from conception to execution, was meticulously managed in-house, without the need for external outsourcing. TCCL acknowledges the guidance and support of Allah (Al-Mighty) in accomplishing this significant achievement.

With the solar plant now operational, TCCL faces the critical task of optimizing its performance and efficiency. To this end, TCCL has identified the need to implement a comprehensive solar networking system. This system will enable centralized monitoring of each solar inverter, ensuring timely detection of malfunctions and alarms to minimize losses and maximize generation.

Following thorough research, TCCL has identified the “Smart Data Lodger” device as a key component for the solar networking project. This device, when paired with Huawei inverters, facilitates the networking of all inverters and provides centralized information accessible via computer systems and the internet. The implementation of this system is expected to enhance TCCL’s ability to monitor and manage its solar plant remotely, from any location.

To realize this vision, TCCL anticipates an investment of approximately 1.5 million for procurement and installation. The TCCL team is fully prepared to undertake the installation and commissioning of the solar networking system, further demonstrating its technical expertise and commitment to operational excellence.
